The Center for African American Health presents their 3rd annual Destination Health:  

Walk/Run/Learn in Denver's City Park on July 27th with pre-event activities beginning at 8am. This fundraiser is a 5K walk/run, which offers shorter routes such as, the “Senior Shortcut” an the “Mocha Mile Fun Run” allowing everyone to participate at a manageable level. A unique aspect of this event is the Health Learning Expo where participants can visit booths providing information on health matters.  Pre-event registration fees are $30 for Adults; $25 for Children 6-17 and Seniors 50+; $25 per person for Walk/Run Teams of 4 or more people; children 5 and under are free but registration is still required.  On July 27, the on-site registration fee will be $35.  Don’t wait – register online today at  or contact the Center at 303-355-3423 for more information.

The Center for African American Health is committed to improving the health and well-being of the African American community and partners with multiple health-education and health-delivery organizations to develop and provide culturally appropriate disease prevention and management programs to thousands of African Americans each year.

The proceeds from Destination Health will support programs and education on diabetes, cardiovascular disease, breast, prostate and colon cancer, as well as wellness programs.
