Volunteer

Are you looking for a way to make a difference by volunteering? Volunteering is a great way to engage in the community, meet people, and learn new things. Volunteers are also critical to The Center for African American Health’s success. Many of our volunteers have had such a positive experience, they’ve stayed with us for years—becoming deeply involved in the work and success of our programs!

Volunteer Needs:

  • We need volunteers to work at special events, such as our Annual Collaborative Health Fair in March and our annual Destination Health event held in late July.
  • We also need medical professionals (physicians, dentists, nurses, dieticians and others with medical backgrounds) to help with free health screenings and to give talks on health care topics.

To begin the process of volunteering with The Center, complete the Volunteer Registration Form. All new volunteers will be required to undergo a background check at a cost of $25 to the volunteer. We will contact you to initiate the process. Once the background check is completed, we will work with you to find the perfect assignment and inform you about an orientation.

Thank you for your commitment!
