The Center for African American Health (CAA Health) is one of five (5) nonprofit organizations being honored by Intersect Aspen’s One Thing at their annual art fair and silent auction on July 24, 2020. Intersect Aspen will feature talks with artists, curators, and dealers leading up to the fair and throughout its online run from July 22-26, 2020. On behalf of the Board of Directors and Staff of the Center for African American Health we are pleased to announce to the community that we have received a 2020 Census Outreach Grant through the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA). The funding is to provide outreach, education and promotion for hard-to-count communities statewide to increase self-response and accuracy for Colorado’s 2020 Census population count. Some of the hard-to-count communities in Colorado have been identified through the legislation as ethnic minorities; children under five years of age; people with disabilities; people with low incomes; immigrants; rural areas of Colorado; people in the state without sufficient access to internet; adults over 60 years of age and people who are transient or homeless.
