Our commitment to you during the COVID-19 crisis
On behalf of the Center for African American Health (CAA Health), we hope that you, your families and coworkers are safe and healthy during this unprecedented time. CAA Health understands that the COVID-19 pandemic is yet another crisis exacerbating the existing disparities experienced by the Black/African American community. As a Family Resource Center, we are committed to maximizing our resources to ensure that our community’s needs are both identified and being met.
We remain committed to our goal of ensuring that Black/African American individuals, families and communities are better connected to a continuum of services. Our communication platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, are being used to share critical information to increase understanding of what is happening and to help our community remain healthy. Once the social distancing restrictions have been lifted by local, state and national authorities, we will resume in-person programming in accordance with safety guidelines. In the meantime, we encourage you to check our website for updates and online resources that are available to you and your family members.
Rest assured that the CAA Health remains committed to our goals to:
- Create HEALTH EQUITY for Black/African American communities;
- Create MENTAL HEALTH EQUITY for Black/African Americans;
- Build PUBLIC WILL for action on issues impacting Black/African Americans; and
- Build POLITICAL WILL to back policies that improve the health and well-being of Black/African Americans.
We value your input and encourage you to reach out and let us know what you need and how we can be of service to you. All CAA Health staff are working remotely and can be reached via email or by calling (303) 355-3423. Please visit our staff page for information and email addresses. We will continue working hard to ensure our community receives the information, services and resources to support their health and wellbeing. Please reach out to any of us with concerns or questions.
Please remember that collectively we remain powerful and our voices are strong! We all need to stay connected to those we love and hold dear. For us at CAA Health, that includes you, the individuals, donors, funders and the greater community who we serve.
Standing in the spirit of service, gratitude, appreciation and commitment to our community,
CEO and Executive Director
